Descendant of da Vinci

Greg Anthony, quite the loner, enjoyed nothing more than to paint and sculpt all day.  When he wasn't working on a masterpiece, he was in the library learning how to invent things.  Although he never put his inventing skills into practice. . . but that is neither here nor there.

After his huge artistic success, his cousin, Ryan Anthony, gave him a makeover.  He looked stylish and a bit tortured like any decent artist.  He continued to spend his days chipping away at stone and smearing oil paints onto canvas, and he never made any real friends.

He drowned in the same pool that his brother, Gary, drowned in just days before.  Rumors have it that Brenna offed him after he started questioning the mysterious circumstances surrounding his twin brother's death, who happened to be an excellent swimmer. Others say this accusation is preposterous, and Brenna was ruined with grief after the death of her husband.

Deep Sea Diver

Gary Anthony spent most of his time under the sea scuba diving.  He even got into a couple of fights with sharks! Sometimes he won, and sometimes he lost.

His lifetime wish required him to Master the Diving Skill and to make $40,000 Simoleons from selling Diving Collectibles.  He was able to sell fish and sea shells to get to this amount.  However, items such as gems and simoleons from treasure chests did not count.  This lifetime wish requires lots of surveillance.  At first it was fun exploring underwater, but it became boring very quickly.  I had enough lifetime wish points from another sim to purchase the collection helper, which allowed me to find underwater sea creatures more quickly.  Still, I couldn't wait to be done with this LTW.  It really wasn't that fun.

Gary Anthony - Completed "Deep Sea Diver" on 8/10/14

Since Gary was relatively young (halfway through adult) when he completed his LTW, there was finally room in the household, and I spent so much time with him compared to his siblings, I decided to marry him off!  He met Brenna Hernandez, who happens to be a mermaid (how perfect for someone who loves to dive!).  They had a baby, Penelope, right away.  Then, they were married soon after Penelope was born.

Gary Anthony's family tree

Gary went swimming one fine afternoon and drowned.  A police investigation was ordered because of the unusual circumstances surrounding the drowning, mainly that Gary was an accomplished deep sea diver and was an excellent swimmer.

R.I.P Gary Anthony: Son, Husband, Father.  You will be missed. 

His wife, Brenna was naturally the first suspect.  At first the police found nothing to support a motive, until this photo surfaced.  Rumors spread over social media like wildfire that Brenna found out about Gary's wild bachelor party and killed him in a jealous rage.

After weeks of investigation, the police found no evidence of foul play, declaring Brenna innocent.  Clearing her tarnished name was another story, and she was forced to move to a new town with her daughter Penelope, her husband's cousin, Ryan, and Ryan's husband, Sean.

Chess Legend

She's never had a job in her life because she is addicted to the game . . . the game of chess that is.  Tanya Anthony sits around playing chess all day.  By using the phone to call up "The Next Ranked Chess Opponent" and winning against her opponents, she became a Chess Legend!

There's not much to say about Tanya because there's not much to know.  Since her lifetime wish required little surveillance -- unlike the Deep Sea Diver lifetime wish -- she was often on auto-pilot.  Now, she is old and needs to look for a new hair stylist.

  

Celebrated 5 Star Chef

Tim Anthony is always in the kitchen making something yummy to eat.  And who wouldn't want to be in this kitchen?  It is equipped with cool gadgets such as a Baker's Station and the Chun Co. Teppanyaki Grill.

His lifetime wish required him to become a 5-Star Chef, which is reached by reaching level 10 of the culinary career.

Tim Anthony completed "Celebrated 5-Star Chef" on 8/9/2014 and ate some Ambrosia to celebrate.

Tim ate Ambrosia, which requires reading the recipe and the ingredients life fruit and a death fish.  After eating this, he became younger.  However, I decided to age him with a cake at the same time his triplet siblings aged, so today he is an old man.  Here is a look at the Anthony family tree today.  Both Wade Jr. and Tana Anthony are gone now, and their children are getting up there in age!

Since I was attempting to finish six lifetime wishes at once (the five siblings above and their cousin, Ryan Anthony), plus I had a full household, I had to wait until Tana and Elizabeth died before I could have another Sim move in and have a child (since I'm keeping the household together).  Sadly, this is the end of the genetic line for Tim Anthony.  

Bottomless Nectar Cellar

Elizabeth Anthony liked to drink.  Who could blame her?  After all, her mother, Margie, was a Master Mixologist and her family owned a bar.  Not to mention, her father, Henry, was always thinking he was cool and blogging 24/7 even when all he could manage to blog about was what he had for breakfast.  That alone is enough to drive anyone to the bottle, but what's worse is that he would sometimes throw bizarre protests, like a hunger strike against astronauts.  So, when Elizabeth grew up she wanted nothing more than to own a lot of booze. . . er, I mean, nectar.

This lifetime wish requires you to have a collection of at least 50 nectar bottles in your nectar cellar worth §50,000.  This was a pretty straightforward lifetime wish, and it was easy to complete.  One thing to note: You must build a basement for your nectar cellar, which was something I didn't realize until I had bought all the wine.

The Tinkerer

Margie Russ liked to fix things and she liked logic.  Naturally, she wanted to become "The Tinkerer" for her lifetime wish.  She joined the Anthony household when she married Henry Anthony.  They met later in life, and she just had a couple of days to produce an offspring before old age set in.  They had one son, Ryan.

Henry worked a lot as a Superstar Athlete, and this worked out well because Margie liked to spend long hours playing chess and upgrading appliances.  Sometimes she'd be in the library for hours reading books on Handiness and Logic so that she could gain more and more skill.  Everyone knows that you gain skills faster in the library (why else would college libraries be packed during finals week).  

 

Surrounded by Family

No one thought that Wade Jr. would ever settle down. . . that is until he met Tana Pringle.  Sure their union caused scandal; she was after all only barely a young adult, and he was nearly an elder, but there's no stopping true love. . . even if the guy is a bonafide dirt bag (achieved by betraying more than 4 lovers).  Well, Wade Jr. met Tana and changed his ways, which is nothing like real life (so don't go around thinking you can change a man, ladies).

Tana didn't have a family before she met Wade Jr. and the only thing that she wanted more than anything was to be surrounded by family AKA she wanted five kids.  The two married and right away the bells chimed after a steamy shower Woo-Hoo!  Though Tana is a technophobe, she watched lots of kids TV and listened to kids music at the same time to ensure multiples (it would be either great or horrific if this worked in real life).

Tana gave birth to a set of triplets, Tina, Tim, and Tanya!  The Anthony household was busting at the seems and some of the household had to move out to accommodate so many children.  Shortly afterwards, Tana gave birth to a set of twins, Greg and Gary!

After years of child rearing these babes into teenagers, Tana fulfilled her lifetime wish to be Surrounded by Family on 7/30/2014.  I guess after the kids became teenagers she felt her work was done.  Shortly after her kids became teenagers, Henry Anthony and Wade Jr. died of old age on the same day.  It was a tragic day for the Anthonys.  

Master Mixologist

Daisy Swizzle joined the Anthony family when she married Darren Anthony, the youngest of the bunch. Though the family was appalled at the age difference, her tendency to dress like a hooker, and her lifetime aspiration to be a Master Mixologist, they eventually accepted her. In fact, the whole family pitched in to purchase a bar so that she could complete her lifetime wish.  She and Darren had a daughter, Elizabeth.

This lifetime wish is very simple to complete.  You must master the mixology skill and then purchase a bar.  At first I thought the requirement was to purchase the bar pictured above; however, this is not so.  You must actually purchase a bar venue.  At the time, I was playing in Bridgeport so there were plenty of options.  I just had to save up the money.  I bought a dive bar, and Daisy fulfilled her lifetime wish.  

Now, when Daisy died, even though I had fulfilled her lifetime wish, only a small grave marker was left.  Because I started playing her so late in life, she didn't have enough time to gain that many lifetime points, and this also determines the size of the gravestone marker apparently.  C'est la vie. 

Blog Artist

All Darren Anthony wanted to do with his life was become a Blog Artist.  And the last born of Isabelle and Wade completed this wish at a ripe old age.  I must say this lifetime wish was far more difficult than the other lifetime wishes up until this point.  The career lifetime wishes are very straightforward, but I had a little trouble figuring this one out.

As a Blog Artist, Darren had to max out his skill in social networking and reach a 5-star blog.  Maxing out his skill was easy peasy.  However, at first I didn't understand how to get more people following the blog.  There are moodlets that come up pertaining to blogging, and if your Sim blogs within the time frame, you will get a higher rated blog post and more followers.  Well, I don't know if there was a glitch (after all, it's the Sims 3) but the moodlet seemed to show up at the most random times and it always said, Gotta Blog About Self-Improvement Tips (from completing promised wish).  Anyway, I made posts everyday with or without the moodlet, and it seemed to take FOREVER to get the blog followers up to 2,000.  I was playing with a very full household too, so this may be where part of my frustration is coming from.

I hated that Sim's lifetime wish so much, and hated playing him in general, that I totally forgot to take a snapshot of him before he died.  Oh well.

Now, Darren did marry and have a child.  In fact, though he is the youngest, he was the first of his brothers to have a child.  He married Daisy Swizzle and just before she turned into an elder, they had a daughter, Elizabeth.  Daisy was a bit older than Darren and died of old age while he was still an adult.

Become a Superstar Athlete

Henry Anthony, second son of Isabelle and Wade, longed to be a Superstar Athlete.  While his brother, Wade Jr. was having a million kids, he was focusing on his career.

It wasn't until much later in life that he met his wife, Margie Ross and they had one son together.  Wade and Margie were both so old that they both died before their son, Ryan, became a young adult. 

Become a Master Thief

Wade Jr. Anthony (yes, when I named him I forgot that you can't do Jr. at the end) wanted to become a Master Thief.  Here's a picture of him trying to look all smug and evil, but it's a little difficult when music notes are coming out of your side.

Now, this guy was also quite the player.  In fact, he received a dirtbag reputation!  But one day, he married the true love of his life, Tana Pringle and changed his ways.  They got married, he stayed faithful (though he never lost his bad reputation), and they had five children together.  

Here's a nice little photo of the family tree with Wade Jr.'s wife, Tana, and their five little ones.  His youngest brother, Darren, is also present.

CEO of Mega-Corporation

Wade Anthony, husband of Isabelle (Murdock) Anthony, wanted to become a CEO of Mega-Corporation when he moved into my household.  Instead of wasting lifetime points on changing his lifetime wish so that I could maintain alphabetical order, I decided to complete the wish of anyone who is added to the household as long as it is not a duplicate of one completed.

I don't have a screen shot of Wade Anthony, but he did complete the lifetime wish "CEO of Mega-Corporation."  I do have a picture of the family tree shorty after his second son was born.

  As you can see, at this point Cole Murdock had already died and Stephanie was elderly.  Isabelle was progressing very well with her career, but after having children she had sooo much time off.  It was really frustrating!  I do wish that Sims could go to work and choose to take time off if they wanted to.  That is one reason why she was an elder when her lifetime wish was completed.  The two little boys in the family tree are Wade Jr. Anthony and Henry Anthony.  I will get to them next!

Become an Astronaut

I am trying to complete these lifetime wishes in order mostly, but with Isabelle Murdock I thought "Become an Astronaut" was next because I didn't put the list in alphabetical order yet.  No biggie . . . It's all going to get done anyway!

As you can see, Stephanie was an aged Astronaut.  Just goes to show, it's never too late to pursue your dreams! Unlike her parents, Cole and Stephanie, Isabelle took a break in the middle of her career to have three kids with her husband (whom she met at the university), Wade Anthony.

Like with all the other career lifetime wishes, this one is easy to complete.  You just have to choose the military career, show up to work, and gain handiness and athletic skills.  No wonder she's looking so good after three kids! 

Become a Creature-Robot Cross Breeder

After I finished Cole Murdock's lifetime wish back in March, I took a nice long break from the Sims 3 because of school.  Well, now that it's summer I've had lots of time to catch up on my Sim-playing.  Cole married Stephanie Murdock (I honestly can't remember what her maiden name was!), and this is one smart woman!  She is all about science!

Stephanie Murdock completed "Become a Creature-Robot Cross Breeder" 6/18/14

To become a Creature-Robot Cross Breeder, your Sim just has to get a job as a scientist and reach level 9 of the career.  It's an easy lifetime wish to complete.  Stephanie gardened A LOT in her free time.  I bought the SwiftGro Gardening Station at the Sims 3 Store a while back, and this makes gardening really fun and easy because it waters the plants automatically and you can fertilize everything at once.  To advance in the Science career you need gardening and handiness skills.  It was nice having someone around to fix broken tubs and upgrade appliances!  Also, Stephanie reached the maximum for her handiness skill and received a discount for purchases in buy mode.

Alchemy Artisan

I love Sims 3, but I started to get bored with the game.  I realized that I was playing the same type of characters -- ones who loved to cook and have big families -- and I never attempted to complete all the lifetime wishes.  I'd stick to the easy ones like "Surrounded by Family" and "Celebrated 5 Star Chef."  So, I am challenging myself to complete every lifetime wish AND I am doing this using the offspring of this guy: Cole Murdock.

Cole Murdock completed "Alchemy Artisan" 3/23/14

Now, I didn't come up with an idea for a blog until recently, so I wasn't really thinking about much of a story line or taking screenshots.  I managed to take the one above because I was so proud of myself for finishing a lifetime wish that had never interested me before.  And alchemy can be pretty cool . . . there are potions to make your Sim happy like the Vial of Potent Bliss.  These puppies can also make good money.  Cole just made potions all day and sold them at the consignment shop instead of having a regular job.

This lifetime wish if pretty easy to complete, especially if you are playing with just one Sim and can devote all your attention to him, which is what I was doing.  It is easier to complete if you start gardening so that you can have a good supply of mushrooms and other ingredients.
